CW Glands
A CW cable gland is a mechanical cable-entry device designed for terminating Steel Wire Armoured (SWA) and single-core Aluminium Wire Armoured (AWA) cables in outdoor, damp, or exposed environments.
Environmental Protection: Typically rated IP66 (with IP67/IP68 options depending on the manufacturer) to prevent moisture, water, and dust ingress.
Outer Sheath Seal: Unlike indoor BW glands, CW glands feature an internal plastic or rubber seal inside the sealing nut that clamps tightly around the cable’s outer PVC/polymeric sheath.
